“but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.”John 19:25 ESV

All,
This stands out because of how the Bible treats women. Since women were not highly regarded during this time, why would a writer speak about the women that were standing at the cross? Or that women witnessed Jesus’s tomb empty or the women that held such importance in the line of Jesus? Christianity is not bound by any cultural norm of the day that may ebb and flow. Please pray that we and our friends stand on the firm foundation of seeking the Bible for answers today. Please pray for Brandon and Doug’s group.
