“Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or not?” But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Show me a denarius. Whose likeness and inscription does it have?” They said, “Caesar’s.” He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were not able in the presence of the people to catch him in what he said, but marveling at his answer they became silent.”Luke 20:22-26 ESV

All,
This stands out because Jesus points out the difference between worldly concerns and spiritual concerns. Obviously the Jews did not like paying exorbitant taxes and hated tax collectors, but it was the economy they lived in. Does Caesar provide or does God provide? Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s or deal with the consequences. Give to God what is God’s or deal with the consequences. Which consequence do you want to pay? God created the earth, sun, gravity, time, etc. Please pray that we and our friends render unto God what is God’s. Please pray for the Buckhead social on 9/24.
