Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Revelation 12
“Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:7-11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All,
This stands out because John says, “Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.” The best deception Satan has accomplished is making some people think that he doesn’t exist. Satan attempts to keep us from worshipping God by getting us to worship ourselves. As long as we think we know more than God, Satan can deceive us. God wants the best for us and wants to guide us around the deceptions of Satan, but we need to trust Him in order for Him to guide us. Please pray that we and our friends seek God’s wisdom and discernment in all our decisions today. Please pray Archie and Hollis group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Revelation 11
“and those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and make merry and exchange presents, because these two prophets had been a torment to those who dwell on the earth. But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭11:10-12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All,
This stands out because John says, “and those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and make merry and exchange presents, because these two prophets had been a torment to those who dwell on the earth.” Events happen even now where many people rejoice because they get to seemingly live their lives without God. Their happiness is temporary because they do not know the price they are paying. We obviously do not want any of our friends to fall in this camp. It ultimately hurts them and God wants all His children to be saved, but it’s their choice. Please pray that we and our friends follow God’s nudges today and call a friend you care about. Please pray for the Cobb County CLC breakfast on June 2nd.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Revelation 8
“The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night. Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice as it flew directly overhead, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!””

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭8:12-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All,
This stands out because John says, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!” Do we expect society to become more Christlike or less? Do we think government programs are going to solve the issues brewing today? Our hope should be in Christ and nothing else. Do your loved ones have a close relationship with Christ and put their hope in Him? Or something else? Please pray that we and our friends remain hopeful for things here, but put our HOPE only in Christ. Please pray for the CLC Cobb county breakfast on June 2nd.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Revelation 7
“Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?” I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. “Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.””

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭7:13-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

http://bible.com/59/rev.7.13-17.esv
All,
This stands out because John says, “Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple”. My old preacher, Don Harp, used to ask why someone who doesn’t worship God now would want to go to Heaven? We all worship something and put our faith in something, it just depends what that something is. God created us because He loves us and wants the best for us. If we worship anything else, it will only hurt us. Please pray that we and our friends reflect on who is the priority in our lives. Please pray for Hunters group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Revelation 6.
“When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭6:3-4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

http://bible.com/59/rev.6.3-4.esv
All,
This stands out because John says, “Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth”. Do you sense peace on the earth now? We do seem to have a peace that shouldn’t be here with all the amount of issues that could take peace away. We do seem to have a protective covering that God keeps about the earth until He decides to take it away. Please pray that we and our friends are grateful for the peace that we receive as a fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22). Please pray for Michael Escoe’s group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Revelation 5.
“Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.””

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭5:1-5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

http://bible.com/59/rev.5.1-5.esv
All,
This stands out because John says, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered”. “Weep no more”. Jesus has already conquered. Are we trying to add to what Jesus did or abide in Jesus? Jesus has a purpose for all of us today. Do we sense a closeness to Him, that we know His purpose for us? Please pray that we and our friends remember that Jesus has been resurrected and we can abide and trust in Him today. Please pray for Wes and Brian’s group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Revelation 4
“And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.””

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭4:8-11‬ ‭ESV‬‬

http://bible.com/59/rev.4.8-11.esv
All,
This stands out because John says, “day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” Everyone around God praises Him day and night. They know the joy of being in the Spirit constantly. Do we have joy so much that we praise Him day and night? Only the Holy Spirit cab give us that joy on earth. Please pray that we and our friends seek to abide in the Spirit today constantly. Please pray and praise for a Larry Jamieson as he did God’s purpose.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Revelation 1
“The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1:1-3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

http://bible.com/59/rev.1.1-3.esv
All,
This stands out because John says, “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place.” John says “must” take place. He doesn’t say “maybe” or God “wants” it to take place, but it “must” take place. The book of Revelation has many things that I don’t comprehend, but it stands out to me because God is willing to delay what “must” take place throughout the book so that others may see that only Christ gives us life. God loves all of His and doesn’t want anyone to perish, but He will not force Himself on anyone. Please pray that we and our friends seek time with God today. Please pray for Mike Jamieson to see how much Christ loves him.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Jude 1
“But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.”

‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:17-23‬ ‭ESV‬‬

http://bible.com/59/jud.1.17-23.esv
All,
This stands out because Jude says, “But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God.” It’s been said that the best way to know counterfeit money is to know the real thing so well that you will know when something is counterfeit. We get to know God by spending time with Him everyday. We get to read His Bible. We also get to seek wise counsel. All of those are available, but they do not help us if we do not do them. Please pray that we and our friends seek to spend time with God today and trust Him by obeying Him throughout the day. Please pray for Chris and Ryan’s group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is 3 John 1
“The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth. Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

‭‭3 John‬ ‭1:1-4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

http://bible.com/59/3jn.1.1-4.esv
All,
This stands out because John says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” What does walking in the truth mean to you? I think of seeking a audience of One. Everyone has their “own” truth now, but only Jesus is the truth. We either believe, trust and obey Jesus or we will believe, trust and obey the prevailing thought of the day. Only Jesus is the foundation on which we should build our house. Please pray that we and our friends “seek first the kingdom of God” today. Please pray for Peyton Gully.
