Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Acts 7:20-43. Below is what stands out from that reading.
“At this retort Moses fled and became an exile in the land of Midian, where he became the father of two sons. “Now when forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush. When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight, and as he drew near to look, there came the voice of the Lord: ‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob.’ And Moses trembled and did not dare to look.”

All,
This stands out because Stephen says, “Now when forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai”. 40 years!!! Moses thought he could “lead” his people when he was 40, but it didn’t work out and now it’s 40 years later. I love how some times God has to humble His best servants so they can be true leaders that serve Him while leading. There are many times I think I have blown something forever and I let God down. I’m sure others feel the same. What if God is preparing us for a greater purpose if we let Him and obey Him. Please pray that we and our friends surrender to God today all our successes and failures and let Him guide where we go next. Please pray for the Beloved fundraiser this Saturday night.
