Today’s reading is Luke 3
“Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” And the crowds asked him, “What then shall we do?” And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.””

All,
This stands out because John says, “Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” What fruit are you bearing today? Is it the fruit of the Spirit? Is it treasure in Heaven? Or is it “wood, hay and straw”? God has a purpose for all of us and it’s about Him. Will your faith in God grow today? Will a friend of yours know Jesus today? We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phil 4:13). Pray this morning for The Holy Spirit to empower you when those opportunities arise. Please pray that we and our friends are about our Fathers business today of bearing good fruit. Please pray for Mark Taylor’s CLC group as they are starting a CLC Next Steps this week.
