“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”1 Corinthians 2:1-5 ESV

All,
This stands out because Paul says, “so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” What does the power of God look like? A member in our CLC meeting this morning asked a simple question of the group. He asked if we had prayed over a big challenge we were talking about. We all had opinions as to what to do in our on power, but we acknowledged we hadn’t prayed. We agreed with his wisdom because we know God has the power and wisdom to cure the challenge. Please pray that we and our friends remember the God we worship today and know Who has the power. Please pray for the CLC Prayer breakfast with Bill Curry on 2/18.
