“So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written, “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!” His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him.”John 12:13-16 ESV

All,
This stands out because John says, “His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him.” I often reflect back on certain events with remorse because I was selfish, etc. or just didn’t see the moment as God would have me see it. I used to be upset about it, until I realized God may have used that moment to help me finally see a point He wants me to know. Would the disciples had been transformed if they didn’t “miss” things when Jesus was walking with them? Please pray that we and our friends remember the promise in Romans 8:28 and keep seeking Jesus even when we fail to grasp it the “first time”.
