“But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’”Luke 10:33-35 ESV

All,
This stands out because the Samaritan took him to the inn and left. Many years ago Ron Greer pointed this out to me and it has been extremely helpful to me. So many times, we feel like we need to take care of someone forever, but in this instance, the Samaritan helped his immediate need and left. It can be too overwhelming to help if we think we need to take care of every issue, but God wants us for His purpose right then. Even Jesus didn’t heal everyone in some towns. Please pray the we and our friends ask God how we can help and when we need to leave. Please pray for Cheever and Steven’s group.
