“I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” (When all the people heard this, and the tax collectors too, they declared God just, having been baptized with the baptism of John, but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.)”Luke 7:28-30 ESV

All,
This stands out because Luke says, “but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.” The Pharisees and the lawyers thought they could earn their salvation. They relied on their own power and rejected Gods purpose for them. How many times do we reject God’s purpose in our lives and try to force our will in a situation? Please pray that we and our friends remember the promises of God “And we know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love him, who are called according to His purpose” Romans 8:28. Please pray for Chris and Ryan’s group.
