“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,” (Titus 2:11-13 ESV)

This sticks out because of “waiting for our blessed hope”. Lent is a time for us to look at our lives and see if we are putting our “hope” in anything more than Christ. I know I start putting hope in things above Christ and I don’t realize it until it’s firmly rooted, but once convicted Christ will give us the power to let it go. Please pray that we and our friends seek Christ first in our lives and do away with anything competing with Christ. Please pray for the CLC Buckhead social this Thursday.
