Pictured above is Michael Escoe. He won the 2015 Len Sykes award as our CLC man of the year. In the spirit of Len Sykes, who brought the first CLC group to Atlanta, Michael has gone above and beyond in his service to CLC this past year and prior years. He gives of his time and talents to further the cause of CLC to continue discipling men in Atlanta.

CLC Men,

We had a great breakfast this year!! As you can see we had a great turnout of men to see CLC guys from around Atlanta and to hear great words of wisdom from our main speaker Bill Curry.

We had a recap of CLC over 2014 which culminated in the ability to start our 84th group this February. We also spoke of our continual need to identify our future co-facilitators and how we really need the men of CLC to be the eyes and ears in their particular areas to introduce me to these future leaders.

Seen above is Bill Curry (center) with Craig Fry (on the left), President of CLC and Neal Creech (on the right), City Director of CLC. Bill Curry has been known for his ability to inspire men, but I have heard from a lot of men at the breakfast that said he gave the best presentation they have ever seen by anybody. Bill could take us from laughing to crying and back to laughing again in 60 seconds. He truly inspired every man there and we wanted to run through a wall after hearing him. I recalled to my son later about his explanation of choosing the “pain” of discipline or the “pain” of regret. Thanks to Bill for his leadership for Christ in Atlanta!!

It was incredibly humbling to see how many men wanted to be a part of CLC continuing to grow in Atlanta and give toward the fundraising of CLC. We raised over $43,000.00 at the breakfast! One anonymous alumni made a challenge that for every two dollars raised, he would match it with one dollar. If you were not able to attend and would like to be a part of helping CLC financially, please consider donating. The donor will keep the challenge up until the end of February. CLC-Atlanta would need $30,000 more in funds, that would mean if at least 20 people pledged $83.00/month, we would make our goal for 2015!! Please pray over this investment in CLC.

I would like to personally thank all the Table leaders who made this happen!! I would also like to thank the CLT boards who spent many hours planning this great event. Without these groups of men, we could have never pulled this event off. I would especially like to thank Ken Worley for capturing the event with great pictures. I think everyone would agree that they did an incredible job!! Thank YOU!!
