Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.”

Psalms 127:1-2 ESV

http://bible.com/59/psa.127.1-2.esv

All,

This stands out because this verse sets the perfect perspective to begin quiet time with God. It’s often difficult to have time with God because our minds are full of things we need to do or things that have happened. Whatever we are doing, if God isn’t in it, then we shouldn’t be, but if God is in it, shouldn’t we want His wisdom and understanding so we can do our best according to His purpose? Please pray that we and our friends “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matt 6:33). Please pray for wisdom and discernment for Rusty.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Give them this charge for their masters: ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: This is what you shall say to your masters: “It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth, with the men and animals that are on the earth, and I give it to whomever it seems right to me. Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, my servant, and I have given him also the beasts of the field to serve him. All the nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings shall make him their slave.”

Jeremiah 27:4-7 ESV

http://bible.com/59/jer.27.4-7.esv

All,

This stands out because the Lord says, “All the nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings shall make him their slave.” Does anyone dare say what God is going to do and His reasons why? Job wanted a audience with God and so do we. Is it enough to humbly obey Him day to day instead trying to predict His next move? Please pray that we and our friends seek to abide in Christ every moment today. Please pray for wisdom for Bryan Stillwagon.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous stretch out their hands to do wrong.”

Psalms 125:1-3 ESV

http://bible.com/59/psa.125.1-3.esv

All,

This stands out because the psalmist says, “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.” God’s plans are everlasting. When we are part of His plan, the fruit lasts forever. There are many temporal things that clamor for our attention, but the moments of abiding in Him will be discussed on the last day. Please pray that we and our friends be about His plans today. Please pray for John and Anthony as they build their group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.”

Psalms 121:1-3 ESV

http://bible.com/59/psa.121.1-3.esv

All,

This stands out because the psalmist says, “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Is God your first thought for help in every situation? Do we think He has the power to help? Does He have the knowledge to help? Why is it that we often go to Him last if God is God? Please pray that we and our friends stop and realize who God is if we get to a point where we don’t think He can help in every situation. Please pray for Aunt Merle.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchiah and Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, saying, “Inquire of the Lord for us, for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is making war against us. Perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all his wonderful deeds and will make him withdraw from us.” Then Jeremiah said to them: “Thus you shall say to Zedekiah, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands and with which you are fighting against the king of Babylon and against the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the walls. And I will bring them together into the midst of this city. I myself will fight against you with outstretched hand and strong arm, in anger and in fury and in great wrath.”

Jeremiah 21:1-5 ESV

http://bible.com/59/jer.21.1-5.esv

All,

This stands out because Pashhur says, “Perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all his wonderful deeds and will make him withdraw from us.” The leaders wanted Jeremiah to prophesy what they wanted to hear. They thought if they could get a spiritual leader to say what they wanted to say, then ALL is ok. How often do people seek out spiritual leaders who will tell them what they want to hear today? Please pray that we and our friends seek God’s Word because He knows all and ants the best for us. Please pray for Hunter as he is building his group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalms 118:5-8, 24 ESV

http://bible.com/59/psa.118.5-8,24.esv

All,

This stands out because the psalmist says, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.” What do we have to fear when we abide in Christ? If we are about His purpose, who will defeat God? If we are not about His purpose, stop. Please pray that we and our friends are about God’s purpose today and not fear the outcome. Please pray for Bonni’s Aunt Merle, her family and her doctors.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Then the word of the Lord came to me: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel. If at any time I declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it, and if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it.”

Jeremiah 18:5-8 ESV

http://bible.com/59/jer.18.5-8.esv

All,

This stands out because the Lord says, “if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I intended to do to it.” How important is repentance? God loves everyone of us and is waiting to forgive, but how does He forgive without repentance? The world wants to say that sin isn’t sin, however, God says to acknowledge the sin and repent and trust Him. Please pray that we and our friends repent of any sin and abide in Christ today. Please pray for John as he is building his group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts.”

Jeremiah 15:16 ESV

http://bible.com/59/jer.15.16.esv

All,

This stands out because Jeremiah says, “your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart.” How is your quiet time with God? How is your sense of peace? I can assume they are correlated. At the times when we don’t think we have any time to spend with God is the exact times we need to spend more time with God. “Unless the Lord builds the house….”Psalm 127. Please pray that we and our friends “seek first the Kingdom of God…”. Please pray for little Harper.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“those who bow down on the roofs to the host of the heavens, those who bow down and swear to the Lord and yet swear by Milcom, those who have turned back from following the Lord, who do not seek the Lord or inquire of him.””

Zephaniah 1:5-6 ESV

http://bible.com/59/zep.1.5-6.esv

All,

This stands out because Zephaniah says, “those who bow down and swear to the Lord and yet swear by Milcom”. Milcom was another name for Molech, the Canaanite god for child sacrifice. Jesus says we cannot serve two masters. We cannot bow down to God and also bow down to a worldly god like Milcom or mammon(money). Money is a great servant, but a horrible master. Please pray for we and our friends to put the priorities of God First today in our lives. Please pray for Rabun and Burke as they build their group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!”

Psalms 111:7-10 ESV

http://bible.com/59/psa.111.7-10.esv

All,

This stands out because the psalmist says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”. When is the last time you truly asked God for wisdom because you truly wanted to do His will? I challenge you to ask Him today. Notice how you will receive a thought that can’t be your thought. Or someone mentions something to you out of nowhere. Please pray that we and our friends are in awe of God today. Please pray for Hunter as he builds his group.
