Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Then the Spirit of God clothed Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, and he stood above the people, and said to them, “Thus says God, ‘Why do you break the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the Lord, he has forsaken you.'” But they conspired against him, and by command of the king they stoned him with stones in the court of the house of the Lord.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭24:20-21‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All,
This stands out because Zechariah says, “Thus says God, ‘Why do you break the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper?”  Do we see disobedience as a hinderance to prosperity?  I’m tempted to disobey so I will prosper, but God loves us and wants obedience because He actually does know what’s best for us here and eternally. Please pray that we and our friends desire to obey God in every circumstance.  Please pray for Doug and Ransom’s group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good. God looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭53:1-2‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/bible/59/psa.53.1-2.esv
All,
This stands out because David says, “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.””  We know there is a God, but do we act like it all the time?  How many things are you concerned about right now in which you haven’t asked God His purpose?  Have you asked Him to empower you to do His will in them?  Please pray that we and our friends seek to abide in Christ every second today. Please pray for the men that would benefit from CLC.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to recite my statutes or take my covenant on your lips? For you hate discipline, and you cast my words behind you. If you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and you keep company with adulterers. “You give your mouth free rein for evil, and your tongue frames deceit. You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son. These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you. “Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver! The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!””
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭50:14-23‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/bible/59/psa.50.14-23.esv
All,
This stands out because Asaph says, “The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!”  How thankful are you?  Is God the provider of all or do you take credit for some?  Appreciation is like a switch that turns on Joy. We can all certainly be very thankful to God. Please pray that we and our friends turn any complaint today into thanksgiving. Please pray for any men you know that should know about CLC.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“”Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, opposite Jericho, and view the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel for a possession. And die on the mountain which you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died in Mount Hor and was gathered to his people, because you broke faith with me in the midst of the people of Israel at the waters of Meribah-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, and because you did not treat me as holy in the midst of the people of Israel. For you shall see the land before you, but you shall not go there, into the land that I am giving to the people of Israel.””
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32:49-52‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/bible/59/deu.32.49-52.esv
All,
This stands out because the Lord says, “For you shall see the land before you, but you shall not go there, into the land that I am giving to the people of Israel.”. This is always tough to read. Moses had faith in so many situations, but wasn’t able to go into the promised land because of a lack of faith in one. “To whom much has been given, much is expected”. Are we ok with living a ok faithful life?  Have we been given opportunities to exhibit strong faith and feared?  Please pray that we and our friends place all our trust in God this next year. Please pray for Jonnell’s group as they are forming.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! The Lord looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man; from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭33:10-15‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/bible/59/psa.33.10-15.esv
All,
This stands out because the psalmist says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!”  We are so fortunate to live in this time in history and in this nation. Do we appreciate the freedoms and opportunities that this nation provides us?  Do we appreciate God’s hand in building this nation?  Please pray that we and our friends appreciate God this Christmas season. Please pray for Blake and Bartley’s group as they start this week. Please consider supporting CLC by hitting the link below the signature.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“”And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever. Be careful now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong and do it.””
‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭28:9-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/bible/59/1ch.28.9-10.esv
All,
This stands out because David says, “If you seek him, he will be found by you”.  Are you seeking Him right now?  Or does something else need to be done and then you will seek Him. Especially during Christmas, it seems like we just need to get a few things off our plate and then we will be ready to seek Him. Matt 6:33.  Please pray that we and our friends ask ourselves if we are seeking Him and stop whatever we are doing until we are. Thank you for all the prayers for the breakfast yesterday. It went very well and all the speakers were incredible!

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:1‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/bible/59/psa.27.1.esv
All,
This stands out because David says, “whom shall I fear?”.  Is fear a sin?  Every morning I ask the Holy Spirit to search my heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin per Ken Boa’s Morning affirmations. This morning, fear came up. Then this Psalm was part of my daily reading plan.  Fear can either separate us from God or draw us closer to Him. If He is our stronghold, we will draw closer to Him and depend on Him. Please pray that we and our friends depend on God as our stronghold and nothing else. Please pray for the CLC Prayer and Fundraising breakfast tomorrow morning.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“He asked life of you; you gave it to him, length of days forever and ever. His glory is great through your salvation; splendor and majesty you bestow on him. For you make him most blessed forever; you make him glad with the joy of your presence. For the king trusts in the Lord, and through the steadfast love of the Most High he shall not be moved.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭21:4-7‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/bible/59/psa.21.4-7.esv
All,
This stands out because David says, “ you make him glad with the joy of your presence.”. Where else can lasting joy come?  There are many things that tempt us with temporary happiness, but only God can gives us the fruit of the Spirit. We get to abide in Christ at every moment because of what Christ did for us on the cross. Please pray that we and our friends realize the joy of abiding in Him every moment today. Please pray for the CLC Prayer and Fundraising breakfast next Thursday.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions! Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭20:4-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/bible/59/psa.20.4-8.esv
All,
This stands out because David says, “ May we shout for joy over your salvation”.  What can be better than a loved ones salvation?  We can hope for many things, but salvation for a loved one weighs heavy on those who don’t know. It’s eternal. Please pray that we and our friends pray for Christ to open their hearts, especially during this Christmas season. Please pray for the CLC Prayer and fundraising breakfast on 12/12.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19:7-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/bible/59/psa.19.7-10.esv
All,
This stands out because David says, “the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes”. Do we see God’s commands as “rejoicing the heart”?  He wouldn’t command it if it wasn’t ultimately good for us. Do you ask anything of your children that isn’t ultimately good for them?  Please pray that we and our friends want to obey God today. Please pray for the CLC Prayer and Fundraising breakfast on 12/12.
