Daily CLC Prayer verse

“And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast. These are of one mind, and they hand over their power and authority to the beast.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭17:12-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All,

This sticks out because “the world” will seem to come together and work together to fight God’s forces. I could never predict what that will be around, but it’s wise that we know that because it will seem as if God is “losing” right before He completes His purpose. Please pray that we and our friends know the Bible so we will not be surprised and the twists and turns that will take place. Please pray for Jeremy and Gary’s group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever, and the sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭15:7-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬
http://bible.com/59/rev.15.7-8.esv

All,

This sticks out because of the balance of God’s judgement with His love. It seems bad for the people getting judged, but would heaven be heaven if there was sin there?  Please pray that we and our friends enjoy to be in the presence of God as opposed to sin. Please pray for Cheever and Steven’s group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.””
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14:11‬ ‭ESV‬‬
http://bible.com/59/rev.14.11.esv

All,

This sticks out because John says “they have no rest”. I’m sure there are many ways he could describe hell, but he said “no rest”. God is the only one who can give us rest. We may look for rest in vacations, stored up treasures, etc., but only God allows us to truly rest. Please pray that we and our friends are grateful for the rest God gives us. Please pray for Doug and Brandon’s overnight tonight

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭13:16-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬
http://bible.com/59/rev.13.16-17.esv

All,

This sticks out because of the conformity that is established in the last days against God. I remember in High school how certain kids wanted to be “non-conformists” and didn’t dress the norm, but yet dressed exactly like each other. It seems that some leaders are creating “victims” in our society now to go against any establishment that actually takes a stand for anything because it doesn’t “allow” the individual to have “its own truth”. Please pray that we and our friends have “the ears to hear and the eyes to see”. Please pray for Cedric, Jonnell and Devon’s group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:7-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬
http://bible.com/59/rev.12.7-8.esv

All,

This sticks out because Michael and his angels had to fight against satan. Is doesn’t say that they just ignored satan and he went away. It also doesn’t say that God fought this battle for them. If Michael and his angels had to fight, I would assume there will be times when we need to fight. We have confidence that God ultimately wins, but we still need to be engaged. Please pray that we and our friends fight the good fight and trust in God especially in the tough moments. Please pray for Doug and Brandon’s overnight this Friday.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“and those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and make merry and exchange presents, because these two prophets had been a torment to those who dwell on the earth.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭11:10‬ ‭ESV‬‬
http://bible.com/59/rev.11.10.esv

All,

This sticks out because the people were celebrating the death of the two witnesses that were ultimately trying to save them. The witnesses were piercing their conscience, but they wanted to continue living in a self-centered way. I am amazed at how many leaders will try to spin their agenda so they try to tell people that “red is purple or purple is red” and some people seem to take it as truth and move on. However, when truth is spoken, people ultimately know it.  Please pray that we and our friends have discernment to see the “spin” that some leaders state. Please pray for Robert and Jim’s group.

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay,”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭10:5-6‬ ‭ESV‬‬
http://bible.com/59/rev.10.5-6.esv

All,

This sticks out because of how powerful God is. Here is a angel that is pretty awe inspiring who raises his hand to God. I’m pretty sure if any of us saw this angel, we would think it was God, but God is even greater than he. Darren lead our CLC this morning and reminded everyone that we worship the God that CREATED all this. He controls gravity and also sees the future as if it was today. Please pray that we and our friends remember today just how powerful God is and how much He wants the best for us. Please pray for Cheever and Steven’s group.

Read Revelation 11 tomorrow

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭8:8‬ ‭ESV‬‬
http://bible.com/59/rev.8.8.esv

All,

This sticks out because John says,”something like”. I can’t imagine what John is thinking as he is seeing all these things happen. However, God wants us to know what is going to happen to all the things that seem so important from a worldly sense. Please pray that we and our friends keep our perspective on what God deems important and less on what the world deems important. Please pray for the wives of men in CLC.

Read Revelation 9 tomorrow

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.””
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭7:17‬ ‭ESV‬‬
http://bible.com/59/rev.7.17.esv

All,

This sticks out because Christ is always concerned about us. He guides us “to springs of living water” in this Revelation passage where the earth is about to get very chaotic. Christ ultimate purpose is for us to live with Him in peace for eternity. Please pray that we trust him in the small things today because he sees eternity in all He asks us to do. Please pray for Ryan and Chris’s group.

Read Revelation 8 tomorrow

Daily CLC Prayer verse

“And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭6:4‬ ‭ESV‬‬
http://bible.com/59/rev.6.4.esv

All,

This sticks out because the rider is able to take “peace” from the earth. It seems God has a protective covering of peace on the earth now that keeps the selfishness and evil that is here at bay. His people are still here to counteract the evil. Please pray that we and our friends appreciate the peace we do have today in Christ. Let us care more about what He cares about and less what the world cares about. Please pray for Doug and Brandon’s group.
