“For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous. Do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you. We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death. Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.”

All,This stands out because John says, “Do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you.”  Do you find it strange that most worldly institutions are very quick to celebrate the causes of the day(same-sex marriage, CRT, etc.) but very quick to denounce any beliefs based on the Bible?  We should never be surprised. The world will throw out things like eugenics as helpful, but only realize decades later that it’s leads to people like Hitler and planned parenthood. The only way to protect ourselves from being influenced by the world is abiding in Jesus and reading His Word. The truth will set us free. Please pray that we and our friends seek truth and practice it while loving everyone as a child of God. Please pray for our Christian leaders to speak truth in love.
