Daily CLC Prayer verse

“And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold, saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers.” And he was teaching daily in the temple. The chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people were seeking to destroy him, but they did not find anything they could do, for all the people were hanging on his words.”

All,
This stands out because Jesus says, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers.”  What are these robbers stealing?  We know they are the money changers, but certainly Jesus wouldn’t be this mad over money changers. Were the people seeing the fruit of the Spirit at the Temple?  Did they grow closer to God?  Or was it a religious routine that was more of a business transaction?  Whose was responsible for letting it be a den of robbers?  The people or the leaders?  Please pray that we and our friends are leaders leading people to a closer relationship with Jesus and not a religious routine. Please pray for J.H. Ranch and Mark Kessler.
