This stands out because the writer says, “and he struck him down because he put out his hand to the ark, and he died there before God.” Why did God strike Uzzah for trying to do the right thing? Was it disobedience? I don’t know. I do know that God has a purpose in ALL things though and this will be one of those questions I ask Him. Please pray that we and our friends do not try to understand God as much as we know that His ways are His ways and our ways are our ways.
