This stands out because the writer of 1 Kings says, “Then he was afraid, and he arose and ran for his life and came to Beersheba”. Elijah had just been a part of God’s miracle of burning a wet offering in front of the whole town. The whole town acknowledged God and bowed down. However, Elijah was still afraid of Jezebel. Are you letting a fear control your actions right now? You know God personally and have seen His power, but yet still fear? Your in good company, but God still wants us to face our fears with His power. Please pray that we and our friends go to God today with any fear that may be controlling you.
