Daily CLC Prayer verse

“All the congregation of the people of Israel moved on from the wilderness of Sin by stages, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink. Therefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.” And Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?” But the people thirsted there for water, and the people grumbled against Moses and said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” So Moses cried to the Lord, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me.””‭‭Exodus‬ ‭17:1-4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All,
This stands out because the people said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” I have a bad habit of complaining and God convicts me of it regularly. The people have been delivered from slavery, brought through the Red Sea and they still see themselves as victims. Are you a victim at times? Are you entitled to certain things? The best cure for times of victimhood is to think of for what we are grateful in that moment. Please pray that we and our friends stop regularly today and thank God for His many blessings. Please pray for the CLC Buckhead social on August 10th from 6-8pm at Capital City Club.
