Today’s reading is 2 Thessalonians 1
“when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

This stands out because Paul says, “that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power”. Who makes us worthy? Whose power do we place our faith? God wants to do for us what we are trying to do for Him. He will do it, but it takes surrender on our part. We can’t worship God and the world. Please pray that we and our friends chose to obey God today when the world differs. Please pray for Bob Yarbrough as he has surgery today.
