Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is 2 Corinthians 1
“For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:8-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All,
This stands out because Paul says, “But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead”. I’m pretty sure everyone reading this has gone through a period of life where there didn’t seem to be any hope. We’ve gone through those times and seen first hand how God’s gives us a peace to continue walking through them. The outcome may not be what we expected, but we know we can put our eternal hope in Him who gives us life eternally. Please pray that we and our friends seek community in our troubled times and seek to be a community for others during their times of turmoil. Please pray for Carla Miles as she speaks to the CLC men on Tuesday in Buckhead.
