Today’s reading is 1 Corinthians 13
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.”
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 ESV

All,
This stands out because Paul says, “if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing”. We can understand everything and know everything, but it doesn’t matter without love. This speaks volumes to me because I’ve always enjoyed great love from parents and loved ones, but I always thought people treasured knowledge over love. I thought if I could prove something by facts, I could convince them. To quote Covey again, “people don’t care how much you know, till they know how much you care”. How can you care about someone without being in a relationship with them? You can’t. Ken Boa says, “relationships are the currency of Heaven”. Please pray that we and our friends seek deep relationships with people. Please pray for Stacey Kessler.
