Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is 1 Corinthians 8
“Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, he is known by God.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭8:1-3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All,
This stands out because Paul says, “This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up.” Are we called to impress people with our knowledge or to love them. Paul says in 1 Cor 13 how we can have much knowledge, skills, etc., but without love, it’s meaningless. Some knowledge is sincerely exchanged to help a person, but if it’s not done in love, it will come across differently. “People don’t care what you know till they know that you care” (Covey). When you want to pass on knowledge, are you doing it out of love or pride? Please pray that we and our friends speak the truth today, but only if it’s out of love. Please pray for Peyton Gully.
