Today’s reading is Acts 1
“He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.””

All,
This stands out because Jesus says, “you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” The Holy Spirit enabled Peter to go from denying Christ to proclaiming Christ in the streets days later. Do we realize the power the Holy Spirit has in our lives? He enables us to be about God’s purpose. Please pray that we and our friends rely on the Holy Spirit today. Please pray for Wes and Brian as they are building their group.
