Today’s reading is Luke 6:27-49
“”Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.””

This stands out because Jesus says, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?” I ask myself that ALL the time. I will let doubts creep in or let things start competing with God. It wouldn’t make sense if I didn’t know I was human and life will always have temptations. The good news is that Christ has conquered this world and will always give a way out if we chose. The only way to chose at that moment is to know without question that Christ is Lord and He has a plan for us. Please pray that we and our friends focus on God during times of temptation today.
