Today’s reading is Luke 5:1-16. 
“While he was in one of the cities, there came a man full of leprosy. And when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged him, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him. And he charged him to tell no one, but “go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a proof to them.””

This stands out because the man with leprosy says, “Lord, if you will,”. He refers to Jesus as “Lord”. We hear that all the time now. So much so that it’s easy to read by it, but by referring to Jesus as “Lord”, the man is saying Jesus is the ultimate authority in his life. Is Jesus “Lord”? If He is, then what He thinks matters more than ANYTHING else. His purpose matters more than ANYTHING else. Please pray that we and our friends know who our “Lord” is today.
