Daily CLC Prayer verse

Today’s reading is Mark 15:27-47
“There were also women looking on from a distance, among whom were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome. When he was in Galilee, they followed him and ministered to him, and there were also many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭15:40-41‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All,
This stands out because Mark says, “there were also many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.” Jesus loves all people. In a time when women were second class citizens, Jesus loved them as anyone else. When Jesus loved the poor and down trodden, he didn’t pander to them or make them a special class, but simply treated them as he did everyone else. It seems that pandering to a group of people so they feel accepted, just plays into the narrative of them being victims. Jesus doesn’t see anybody as victims, but as his child. Please pray that we and our friends see everyone as a unique wonderful child of God today. Please pray for Debbie, Makenna, and Kole.
