“She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. This stands out because Matthew says, “When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him”. We have all had decisions in front of us where we knew the right thing to do, but thought of the possible consequences and decided to rely on our own understanding. Joseph did as the Angel commanded him. Is there a decision that you are making today that can be rationalized away? Is it possible that by obeying God in this decision, you may be a part of His plan for future generations? Please pray that we and our friends obey those nudges that God gives us today. Please pray for the men considering CLC.
