“After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was made bright with his glory. And he called out with a mighty voice, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast. For all nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.””Revelation 18:1-3 ESV

All,
This stands out because the angel says, “For all nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality”. The New Testament uses the word sexual immorality frequently. Our world today is more comfortable with sexual immorality because of sympathy for everyone’s right to behave as they are inclined. Sympathy is a powerful motivator and everyone likes to pull for the underdog. Thank goodness most people don’t use “sympathy” in order to let a alcoholic have the “right” to drink. God calls certain actions sin to give us more life, not to take life away. Please pray that we and our friends truly love our loved ones today. Please pray for the men considering CLC.
If you would like to read along with me as we finish the New Testament, today’s reading is Revelation 18. We will continue reading the rest of the NT and then start at the beginning of the NT after Revelation.
