“Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”Hebrews 10:19-23 ESV

All,
This stands out because the writer of Hebrews says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” Is our hope in our good deeds or in Jesus? I know it’s Jesus, but I struggle with the good deeds thought daily. It seems to come down to “doing” or “surrendering”. Doing is of my power and surrendering is of God’s power. If it’s our power, we may be tempted to not trust completely to obtain a certain outcome. If it’s Gods power, we want to trust all the more. Please pray that we and our friends surrender this day to God and trust Him. Please pray for Jonathan’s group as it is being built.
